In previous post i have listed some of the frameworks which can be used to develop mobile applications using HTML5 and CSS3. After reviewing them i found out that PhoneGap would be the best choice as it covers almost all the Mobile OS platforms and is easy to deploy and implement. Following are the tools which will be required to get you started with PhoneGap on Android.

PhoneGap

PhoneGap is an HTML5 app platform that allows you to author native applications with web technologies and get access to APIs and app stores. PhoneGap uses standards-based web technologies to bridge web applications and mobile devices. With PhoneGap you can deploy your apps to multiple platforms using a single codebase.

Android SDK

The SDK provides the tools and APIs necessary to develop and debug applications on the Android platform. It also provides an Emulator to test your applications by creating AVD’s.
